Signed up with WishList about a week ago, and was a little flummoxed by it at first. However, I started working through the video tutorials, as well as just reading the step-by-step how-to guides, and their materials are terrific. Got the membership zone working nicely, and am now learning how to fancy it up and add more functionality to it. First impressions: great stuff! Nicely solved a big headache for me, actually... ea/

I've been a Wishlist Member user now for 6 months and I don't think I've ever experienced a bigger disparity between what they say the plugin does and what it actually does well. To top it off their tech support is TERRIBLE. They release untested versions of the software and then scramble to provide multiple updates. You can wait days for an adequate response from their official tech support. I swear it was the worst $297 I've ever spent.

Have only just discovered the possibilities of using a membership plugin with wordpress, such as Wishlist member, and your post here makes me think that i really need to get on the ball and get a site up and runnning very soon, if not straight away.

So i guess i will need to buy it first ?

I was contemplating using Amember, but you have convinced me that this plugin is not only easier to use, but will do just about everything i would ask of a membership script

I looked at wishlist member but it does not allow you to define any additional user fields. I asked the wishlist team and they said I could probably use the register-plus plugin along with the wishlist member plugin but they had never tried it and couldn't really say if it would work. Do you know if they work together? Thanks.
